Dear Brothers and Sisters:

Local 265 has been in touch with the U.S. Census Bureau regarding the upcoming 2010 census and the possible employment opportunities it may hold for 265 Members and their families in early 2010.  We have asked the Bureau to consider testing 265 Members/Families for employment and they’ve agreed!

Testing for 2010 Census employment will be held at the IBEW Local 701 Union Hall on January 26, 2010 at 9:00 A.M.  If you are interested in testing, please register by calling 630-785-2902 or 1-866-861-2010

The Bureau will staff the test based on the number of registered applicants.  YOU MUST REGISTER TO TEST, walk-ins will NOT be accepted and if you do register for testing PLEASE SHOW UP FOR THE TEST.

Please note Census Bureau representatives attending the January 26th test will be hiring for the DuPage County Census ONLY.  If you live in Kane, Kendall, Mc Henry or Will County you may still test here on the 26th and the Bureau will forward your score to the appropriate county.

Listed below are some facts that may help you in making your decision and what you can expect if you are selected to work for the Census Bureau.  Good Luck!

Fraternally,

John Boske
