Overview of the Early Retirement:

If you leave covered employment under the Local 265 Pension after July 1, 1999 you may retire on an Early Retirement Pension if you have a minimum of 5 years of Vesting Service and have reached the age of 55.

Your pension could begin the first of the month following the receipt of a completed application form. In addition to the application form, we would need a copy of your birth certificate and if you are married and selecting a Survivor Form Of Payment, a copy of your spouse’s birth certificate and a copy of your marriage certificate.

Your pension is determined by your years of benefit service, multiplied by the benefit rate in effect, less any Age Reduction for the period that you are less than age 60.

If you leave covered employment after July 1, 1999 and you have reached age 60, you could file for an unreduced Early Retirement Pension.

While on an Early Retirement, you are not permitted to perform any covered work under the jurisdiction of Local 265 Sheet Metal Workers Union.
